¡¡Buenos días chicas!! Cuánto tiempo sin compartir con vosotras una entrada de inspiración… ¿las echabais de menos? yo la verdad que sí, aunque me lleva mucho tiempo recopilar imágenes, lo cierto es que es una tarea que me encanta hacer y con la que consigo inspirarme a mi misma jeje. Retomo esta sección con una de las tendencias estrella de la temporada, las boinas, un accesorio que siempre ha estado ahí y que se identifica con las parisinas, un cliché estético, aunque lo cierto es que hacía mucho que no se veían por las calles. Podemos culpar a Dior de su retorno y no nos quejamos, personalmente me encantan.

Si no tienes una boina, hazte con una, además de ser uno de los accesorios más baratos que podemos encontrar, aportan a tu look un toque diferente. Recuerda además que puedes combinarla con cualquier tipo de look,  desde los más femeninos, con vestidos o faldas midi, hasta los más rockeros, con cazadora de cuero, camisetas de grupos y vaqueros rotos ;). También el pelo juega un papel importante a la hora de llevar este sofisticado accesorio, déjatelo suelto o juega con coletas, moños bajos o incluso trenzas. ¡Todo vale con las boinas!

Este año estamos teniendo un otoño atípico. Lo propio de estas fechas es tener la ropa y los looks de verano ya olvidados y en cambio, en muchas ciudades el calor sigue siendo el protagonista.
Estamos en un entretiempo algo extraño, donde los jerseys son más que suficientes y los abrigos siguen colgados en sus perchas esperando su turno para ser protagonistas de nuestros estilismos.
Lo bueno de esto es que parece que podemos alargar un poco más el buen tiempo, lo menos positivo es que también tardará más en irse el frío cuando por fin llegue. Me parece que al final solo vamos a tener dos estaciones…

Ropa y complementos de tendencia entre los que destacan el terciopelo, los jerseys de chenilla, las boinas, las riñoneras, el color rojo, las flores, los volantes y los bordados. Pero también faldas midi, chaquetas de estilo militar, el clásico estampado de rayas o la siempre elegante blazer negra.

Con el calor que está haciendo estos días lo único que me apetece es ir cómoda y fresquita. El mono que llevo es de hace un par de temporadas del Pull and Bear y creo que fue una de esas compras más que acertadas, porque me lo he puesto tanto de día con sandalias como de noche para salir con unos tacones.
La chaqueta bomber que llevo es de Stylewe una tienda de ropa online donde encontrareis una gran variedad de ropa con las últimas tendencias. Llevaba tiempo buscando una bomber en color negro pero con algo diferente y la encontré en Stylewe.

The bomber jacket I wear is from Stylewe an online clothing store where you could  find a variety of clothing with the latest trends. I have been looking for a bomber jacket  in black but with something different and found it on Stylewe.

Uses: Wear them a summer afternoon for a drink (No drinks. Massive
quantities of alcohol and these kind of shoes is a bad idea.) with
friends in a local pub with a terrace or for a picnic.
Don’t wear them a night out, to work or to any other
activity that involves you walking more than 5 blocks.
Do’s for S/S 13: wear them with socks and a circle skirt of
any length, my favourites are the denim circle skirts of 
American Apparel, but if you don’t feel like spending more than 
40 pounds in a skirt, because let’s be honest, even though I am
a huge fan of AA and their motto of paying their factory workers
a decent wage, (ehem, 2008-2009 scandal, ehem.)
 sometimes 40 pounds for half a meter of cloth poorly sewn together
means just a whole week of Sainsbury basics, and I’m talking about the 
fast self checkout kind of shopping; so you can find a tutorial in this blog if
you feel like sewing. It’s extremely easy.
 Do not: If you’re over 25, and even if you still can pull it off (It is debatable in my
opinion the whole heels/shorts outfit. It just looks cheap, slutty and ridiculous sometimes…
I just think that’s something only Lindsay Lohan can pull it off because you know 
those were the first two things she found around her living room that morning.)

I know I’ve been kind of AWOL but yet again I moved out my country to one of the most amazing cities in the world.
I know you all had been in London before, maybe even spend some time enjoying the city so you understand how is to be in here, and if you add up the fact that I actually live here you can understand why you want to take every chance to actually be out and enjoy every single event the city has to offer.
And there are a lot.
Today I would like to share with you yet again more awesome bands that are touring right now. I was always into folk, but as you may know it has taken the music charts and yet again there are some amazing underground bands that are about to take them.

The first one and my favourite is Dry the River. Those guys are amazing, really. The first time I saw them live I fall in love with the harmonies of the five pice set. I was standing between a crowd of girls earger to see the band (or musicians, I hadn’t decide just yet what was going on that day with the fans) and I understood straight away why they’re the “New big thing”

The first thing you expect is them to be a brooding bunch of guys with hoodies, tattoos and breads. Whiskey aficionados without anything to say… you know, what in Spain we call Mojabragas. You’re wrong. There’s a lot of romanticism and biblical references in their songs, and why not, there’s also a feeling of calm when you are in the front row of a concert and all of sudden you notice their singer performing barefoot. I don’t really understand what I felt that day, but seconds later I was dancing around with my eyes closed and enjoying every single harmony that came of their throats. But seems they have a Hardcore/punk background so it’s kind of amusing and a brand new experience listening to them singing No rest while jumping around a stage without being lurdiculous.

At the moment I thought it was just a thing of those guys but all of sudden a friend of mine introduced me to the wonderfull new movement of “boy bands” (and I use the term just because they’re boys and in a band.) playing instruments. A world beyond Mumford % Sons as he said. (Even though I was doing quite fine there) Tall Ships. When I first saw Tall ships they were supporting some other band I don’t even remember, but it was the one I actually wanted to see.

It was so amazing that right now, the memory of that concert, is just them.

And if you’re into electro-folk (I think I just made up that term) don’t miss out T=0 remixed by 65daysofstatics. You can find it in their Soundcloud profile. Dog is dead. Another band with an amazing sound and great lyrics. And as Dry the river delights you with a violinist, Dog is dead adds a saxophonist which is great. Everytime I listen to them I feel as if I was 16 again and in a ska concert.
I am really looking forward seeing them in The Festifeel this June.

I got biblical before with Dry the River. Dog is dead also have a Christmas song. But the king of the new gospel is amazing Jonas Petersen. The guy behind Hymns from Nineveh (I think my new music post is going to be about Brilliance Records’ bands such as Philco Fiction or Tomorrow we move to Hawaii) Big Deal. This is my new favourite. My flatmate calls them the Odd couple. We saw them in the Vice’s party this week. I was speechless. A thing about folk concerts in London seems to be that anyone dances. Again my flatmate and I couldn’t help but dance while the rest of the crowd just stole weird looks over us.

The other day my mom told me (She follows everything I listen to via Soundcloud, Spotify or LastFM) that we were living a change history, and that this proliferation of bands are just showing off what is going on with fashion, politics and people in general. We BEG for a change. A peaceful change. And maybe the arts were the first ones changing. Fashion is in the late 60’s, 70’s. At that time our parents were protesting about war, now we’re asking for a change in politics and live. Shops like American Apparel, Forever 21 or Nastygal are taking over my wardrobe and making a hole in my gigs allowance, but I think you never have enough funky tops, round glasses and pamelas.

My Facebook events’ list is filled of meetings, demostrations and chat groups of people that are trying to make a change in the system. (And this time we’re so many) The 70’s hippie fashion appeared of a need of happyness in the society, and I think that with the recession it’s exactly what people needs.
Music to fill your heart and clothes that make you happy. (Even though I wouldn’t complain if we got a little bit less of economic speculation, real transparent leaders with real solutions.) We dress to be happy.
We dance to be happy.
We want to be happy… I’ll be back with tutorials soon. I MEAN IT this time cause I am bidding over a couple of sewing machines in ebay and also I am preparing a lot of stuff for the summer I think you guys would enjoy.

Until then I think I’ll dedicate my time to my second love, music.

Esta tarde me he tomado la libertad de ver en algunas webs las propuestas de los diseñadores para la temporada P/V.

Interesantes.

Colores neutros, pero tambien flúor.



Seguir llevando la ropa interior fuera, las transparencias!

Los 70 estan aqui de diversas formas. En los pantalones de pata de elefante.

Otros han optado por la parte preppy de los 70. Diseños que recuerdan a la America Suburbana de finales de la decada.


y los hotpants… lo que me lleva a pq no he actualizado mucho ultimamente.

Son seis basicas razones… que implican el tambien vivir un poco la vida. Divertirme y estudiar a la vez. Todo combinado con trabajo y mi vida personal, te lleva a en ocasiones tienes elegir tus prioridades. En que quieres gastar un par de horas de tu vida… hacer una sesion de fotos para el blog o ir a tomar una cerveza con tus amigas? Leer una revista de moda en el autobus o La Septima Muerte del Che… Que ese autobus te lleve a casa de tu abuela para pasar toda una tarde en la que no haras nada mas que hablar y hablar y hablar sobre Salvame XD….

Prioridades que aveces te perjudican, y como ya sabeis, siempre dejo en ultimo lugar el blog.

6. Perfeccionando el patron del mono con hotpants. Sera a la octava la vencida y quedaran asi?

Porque sigo soñando con prendas de este estilo. En terciopelo, saten, con cuellos y mangas distintas mezclando conceptos…. pero parece que no logro conseguir el largo de talle apropiado para todas las tallas. Y me cabrea…

5. He estado intentando teñirme el pelo para lograr un rojo bastante fuerte. No esta funcionando mucho. Mi pelo sigue repudiando el tinte a los tres lavados asi que es posible que pronto me quede calva… pero si no arriesgas no ganas. Creo que hacer el proyecto sobre el Grunge y aprender sobre ello me esta haciendo una inconsciente.
Aunque aveces lo pienso y quizas deberia seguir la moda y ponerme con colores mas pastel, como el rosa, gris… gris azulado? e incluso salmon. Ayer vimos Olvidate de mi y cada vez me gusta mas la idea…

I’ve been working in my hair to get a shocking shade of red. I don’t really know how is it going to look, or if I’m going to go bald before we’re done with it, but whatever. Making the project about punk is kicking out my wild side. Or maybe I should go for the season’s trend of pastel colors like white or gray and just go for the pink… maybe salmon. Yesterday we watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and I thought about it and actually liked the idea.

4. Zapatos. Sigo buscando zapatos que me digan algo… fui feliz durante un par de horas con los zapatos de Jessica Simpson, (Lo mejor que ha hecho esta mujer en su vida es diseñar zapatos) todo para que una vez hecho el pedido, descubra que no envian a España. Asi que hemos hablado (aun no concretado) sobre una visita a Elche, en Valencia. Tierra de Zapateros, Outles de diseñador y donde casualmente Jeffrey Campbell fabrica sus zapatos… lalalala

Shoes. I’m still looking for shoes… I was happy for a while when I saw the sales in the Jessica Simpson page, (my prejudices forgave me to enter in the page before when is actually the best thing she ever did) but once I went to the checkout I found out I couldn’t buy them because they didn’t mail to Spain. So, we talked about making a vissit to Elche, a town next home. There are tons of shoe factories and causalities and the good quality of they work lead Jeffrey Campbell to put his factory there… lalala (8)

Esta temporada, al fin hay plataformas y para las pies planos-llevadoras de converses durante toda su adolescencia como yo nos vienen bien. Son comodos y bonitos.

This season we’re speaking about platforms. And I love it, cause I’ve been wearing Chucks ever since I was 10 so I’m not really good at walking on high shoes. They’re comfy and cute and I can’t wait to start searching the net for some.

3. Pamelas. Ay las pamelas. Han alegrado el invierno y siguen en verano, para portegernos del sol. Yo ya tengo una, no creo que me compre otra.

2. Tunicas. I don’t think I have to justify myself. Tunics are cool. I always thought it, now I’m sewing them for me for the summer with sheer fabrics and tons of layers wich is cheap and fresh.


1. Descubrir a Laura Ashley. Fue una diseñadora de tejidos, pero que tambien hacia vestidos. Siempre con un toque naif y con una gran calidad en los tejidos y acabados.
Sus vestidos recuerdan a los de Luella pero a precios mas modicos y con un aire vintage. A mi me ha inspirado en crear los 3 vestidos que quiero esta primavera. Ahora solo me faltan los tejidos. 😀
Discover Laura Ashley. She was a textile designer, but she also made dresses. Always with a naif touch and a great quality. Her dresses remind me of Luella’s but cheaper and with a lovely vintage touch. I’ve got inspired into designing three dresses for this summer. Now I just need the fabrics.
